Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Two bounty criminals and a policeman were injured in an encounter in Uttar Pradesh's Bania Dher area on Tuesday, police said.
Bilal and Gulam opened fire after a police team surrounded them, Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra said, adding that police officer Vivek Yadav also sustained injuries in the shootout.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on both of them. While the two were arrested, three others accompanying them managed to flee the spot, they said.
The police officers found a calf, weapons used for slaughtering cattle and two illegal items with the accused.
